The Seagull

London, UK
June 2015

Hamlet instructs his players to "hold the mirror up to nature”, advice taken literally in this 120-year anniversary staging of Chekhov’s homage to the Bard. Jon Bausor’s set is dominated by a large tilted GiantMirror by ShowTex, offering a bird’s-eye view on what's going on on the turf-covered stage.

The Seagull, is given a new lease of life in this version by Torben Betts, to mark the 120th Anniversary of the play. The Open Air Theatre commissioned piece plays out beautifully in the sumptuous settings of Regent’s Park.
