Are you our J-1 Traineeship Technical Project Manager?

Embark on a J-1 Traineeship (International candidates)
Are you ready to gain practical, hands-on experience in the U.S.? The J-1 Traineeship offers professionals with a degree and at least one year of related experience, or those with five years of relevant experience, the opportunity to expand your practical experience and train in a dynamic and creative environment for up to 18 months

Imagine spending your working days in a company that breathes creativity. One that goes all out to bring to life the artistic ideas of event & entertainment professionals worldwide. An international group with headquarters in Belgium that still feels like a family.

With ShowTex fully expanding in North America, with offices in Montreal and New York, we are excited to welcome you to be part of our US Team. We are also thrilled to announce that have opened an office in Las Vegas as part of our continued growth.

Welcome to ShowTex!

LET US INTRODUCE OURSELVES

Do you know those drapes that define a theatre? Or the scenic fabrics that create a mood on stage? That's what we do and so much more. Event decoration, trade show displays, fabric reveal systems…? Yup, that too.

As a worldwide leader in inventing, producing and installing highly innovative, flame-retardant textiles and suspension systems, we gladly spend our days tackling the most creative challenges in set building, stage and stand design. You can find ShowTex offices in Europe, the Middle East, North America, South Africa, Asia and Australia,  but your home base is ideally located in New York or Las Vegas, with the option for a hybrid work arrangement.

NOW HERE'S YOUR DREAM JOB

The Technical Project Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and successful execution of ShowTex’s projects across the US & Latin America. You’ll work closely with the sales and operations teams, as well as directly with customers, to develop and deliver solutions that meet client needs and expectations.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

You love the thrill of managing a challenging project from A to Z. On-site meetings, surveys and measurements as well as briefing your colleagues of sales, production, transport and installation. You know the drill. Obviously, you are available from start to finish, even during the event if needed, and all along the way you never forget to communicate with your stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical and operational guidance from the initial stages of client consultations through to final installation, ensuring each phase is executed seamlessly.
  • Partner with clients, internal teams, and international colleagues to co-create innovative solutions
  • Develop detailed project plans, covering all aspects including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
  • Monitor and manage projects to ensure timely, on-budget completion, while maintaining open communication with all stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot challenges promptly, identifying effective solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Document project outcomes, learning points, and opportunities for process enhancement to continually improve project efficiency.

CURIOUS HOW WE SEE YOU?

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

You bring 3–5 years of hands-on experience managing projects from start to finish—ideally in event textiles, event production, audiovisual productions or entertainment—and you're open to relocating or working internationally.

PERSONALITY AND SKILLS

Thanks to your technical insight, you see solutions instead of problems and with that hands-on mentality you can respond flexibly to unforeseen circumstances every day, independently and in a team. You are punctual, eager to learn and think along wherever you can. Your eye for detail ensures that you can work in an orderly and structured way, while always following safety and quality procedures.

  • Collaboration Skills: Proven experience working with cross-functional teams, particularly sales, operations, and technical teams, to align project goals and deliverables.
  • Client-Focused: Experience in client-facing roles, with strong communication skills to manage customer expectations and ensure project satisfaction.
  • Problem-Solving: Background in identifying and resolving project issues to keep projects on track and within budget.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project documentation to manage schedules, resources, and documentation efficiently.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

ShowTex is not just an ordinary company. We never say "impossible" and will always team up to find the best solution to just do it. This mindset has kept us at the top of a very competitive industry for over 40 years.

And what about you? You can help to shape this unique story by becoming part of a motivated and growing team at the center of the action.

But there's more: How about flexibility & a healthy work/life balance, having plenty of room for personal growth, training opportunities, travelling and a competitive compensation with attractive extras. Sounds good, right?

The cherry on the pie? Without a doubt the creative industry we’re in and the amazing group of people you’ll soon call your colleagues.
