Versatile DekoTaft for Claire Laffuts Music Video

France
June 2021

With just one lushly draped translucent fabric, Claire Laffut and the production house Partizan turned her music video into a mesmerizing clip.

Since the singer-songwriter was on the lookout for an extra-large, decorative drape to shape the entire set of her latest video clip, DekoTaft was the obvious choice. It’s a bit shiny and slightly see-through, but not too much. Perfect for backlit effects that change the look of the translucent textile instantly. The even light spread and texture of the drape immersed the entire clip in a beautiful blue and golden glow.

From static backdrop to lively prop

One moment, the budget-friendly taffeta fabric is used as a static backdrop, the next it becomes part of the performance. As dancers lift the drape, move it around, or hide underneath, the stage lights work their magic. Clearly, there’s nothing you can’t do with this lightweight material!
